| User Review:
Quicken gave me so many different options when I needed
a home refinance. I really thought they only offered
home loans, so I was surprised that they were able to
help me as much as they did. I love the service I got,
though, and I can’t believe the loan that they were able
to give me. |

Buying a Home: |
|
Many people are
skeptical when it comes to buying a home. Especially
when the housing market is struggling, many people
quickly run screaming the other direction when they look
at buying a house. However, home ownership is something
to be appreciated and there is no better time to buy a
home than when the market is low. If you can afford a
home and you are investing in something that you’ll keep
for more than 5 years, why not buy it when it’s dirt
cheap? Just remember that you will need to find a home
that suits your needs and one that you can love for a
long time. With so many houses on the market right now,
finding your dream home is easier than ever. You should
always consider things in a certain order when it comes
to house shopping:
-Budget
-Location
-Condition
-Size
-Features
All of these elements will play a role in your home
buying process. You should focus on them in the order
listed, and keep each element in mind as you go through
the process. After all, it wouldn’t do you any good to
look at homes that are the right size and have all the
features you want if they’re more than you can afford or
in the wrong neighborhood. Take the time to set a
budget. If you don’t know what you can afford, consult
with a mortgage specialist or a bank to discuss your
financing options. They can pre-approve you for a home
loan of a certain amount, which will make it easier for
you to determine which houses fit in your price range
and which don’t. Once you’ve narrowed down your price
range and the area(s) that you want to live in, you can
then begin searching for homes that are the right size,
in good condition, and have the features and amenities
that you want. That’s really all that there is to buying
a home. Once you find the one you want, you’ll put in an
offer, and when it’s accepted, you’ll sign a huge stack
of papers and get the keys to your new home. It also
helps if you have a realtor of your own for this process
if you’re not familiar with everything that home buying
entails, to act as a guide and help you along the way.
